Dr. M V Shetty College of Nursing was started in the year 1987 which is the first ever private nursing college in Karnataka. College Celebrated silver jubilee in the year 2012 and Tri-decennial celebration in the year 2017.

To prepare the nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team

Eligibility of Admission :

The candidate should have passed 10+2 with 40% marks from any recognized Board. However Science preferable. Registered ANM 10 +2 vocational ANM course from School recognized by INC.Candidates are also eligible from state open School recognized by state government and National Institute of open school(NIOS) recognized by central Government. 10+2 Health care Science vocational stream from a recognized CBSE Board (state) and center. Minimum age for admission will be 17 years(as on 31st December that year) the upper age limit is 35 year. For ANM/LHV there is no age bar.

Continuous assessment : periodic internal examinations and assignments are given to the students and internal assessment is sent to the KSDNEB board for final evaluation.
